Njel de Mesa’s theater company presents ‘I Laugh You!’ | Lifestyle.INQ

Award-winning writer-director and singer-songwriter Njel de Mesa is re-staging his Palanca Award-winning play “I Laugh You” from Sept. 26 to Oct. 31 at NDM Theater Company in the Sta. Lucia Grand Mall Theater Zone.

Featuring the brand-new cast of Nancy Lazarte and JJ Muniz, the play will run back to back with a bonus play entitled “Malay Mo, True Love,” starring Roi Neri, Angelo Estrada, Benj Espina and James Torres.

The comedy twin bill will launch the Njel de Mesa Play Festival, which will run September to December also at the same venue.

“I Laugh You” is a romantic comedy period piece where the  highbrow use of Filipino meets lowbrow humor. “Malay Mo, True Love” is about two male dormmates in a quandary over what to do with their gay suitor.
