How to find the right foundation, get thicker hair, minimize pores

One of the top beauty mistakes made by women is choosing the wrong foundation. Many often pick a shade lighter than their skin, which leads to a mask effect. Foundation shouldn’t mask the face but help even out the skin tone, hydrate the skin, protect it from the sun and give it a flawless finish that isn’t matte but luminous.

The right shade should disappear or look like second skin, and not float when tested on your jaw-line. When picking foundation, it is best to ask the help people working at the counter. They are trained to lead you to the right shade. If you go home with the wrong color they recommended, you should return it the following day and they should replace it with the right one.

Chanel’s Vitalumière Hydra is one of the newest foundations in the market. It’s composed of ¼ water, which allows it to melt onto the skin while giving it a refreshing feeling. It is light and perfect for our hot, humid weather, and leaves the skin with a natural finish.

What I enjoy most about it is, it is easy to apply, it evens out my skintone, stays on for hours and leaves my skin looking dewy and fresh. It really is the perfect balance of moisture and radiance. This is due to the soft-focus pigments Chanel is known for, which provides a halo effect and visually erases unsightly pigmentation. Best of all, it not only has vitamin E but SPF 15—a must these days due to the sun’s harmful rays.

If you are looking for a good foundation, I suggest you drop by the Chanel counter and try this product out. It has everything a good foundation has to offer and more. I especially enjoy having the Chanel girls try the product on me. I know you will, too. At the very least, you go home with a makeover.

Volumizing products

I wish I had thicker hair. I just think they’re sexy. Also, the thicker the hair, the better I feel. I was never conscious of my hair until it began shedding after I gave birth. I went into a panic, looking for the right volumizing shampoo.

Now I am loving The Body Shop’s Rainforest Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. This product contains pracaxi oil to condition hair without weighing it down, guarana berry to help stimulate the scalp and boost volume, and soothing Community Fair Trade aloe vera from Guatemala.

Silicone weighs the hair, down so if you still have lots of shampoo and conditioner at home, then check the ingredients and set aside those with silicone. Body Shop’s products are not only paraben- and colorant-free, but this range is sulphate-free, too. My hair does look thicker and fuller. Remember: The thicker your hair, the younger you’ll look!

Pore line

There are ways to minimize the appearance of pores and make them look smaller. The size of your pores is determined by different factors such as genes, diet, habits and skincare. Using a clay mask will clean out your pores and remove excess oil beneath the skin.

Look for products that are made specifically for this problem. You may try Tonymoly’s Floria pore line.

Floria Pore-Tightening Cream—Use a thin film to tighten and strengthen the skin. Take an adequate amount and gently apply to face and neck area.

Floria Pore-tightening foam cleanser—Blue scrub beads and rich foam perfectly cleanse skin of blackheads and control excessive oil, and provides a cooling effect.

Floria Pore-Tightening Emulsion— This emulsion tightens large skin pores caused by excessive sebum secretion and low skin elasticity. Take an adequate amount and gently apply to face and neck area.

Floria Pore-Tightening Essence— Anti-bacteria and anti-flammatory, this essence cleanses pores and helps exfoliate the skin.
