Sixteen music acts including rock legends, four DJs and three college bands, five participating bars, and loads of beer await the crowd at this year’s San Miguel Beer Oktoberfest, which kicks off Sept. 18 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) open grounds in Pasay City.
Performing are Joey “Pepe” Smith, Ely Buendia, The Dawn, Side A, Hotdog, Rivermaya, Slapshock, Greyhoundz, 2014 Muziklaban grand winner Nobela, DJs Boyet Alamazan, Funk Avy, Marc Marasigan and Patty Tiu, as well as university bands Kilos (UP), Penguin (De La Salle), and Papapeta (UST).
There will also be pop-up stations of Cowboy Grill, Cable Car BGC, Craft Rock and Grill, Prime, and ’70s Bistro at the venue offering the crowd a taste of the bar-hopping experience.
There will be five variants of SMB on sale: Pale Pilsen, San Mig Light, Red Horse Beer, San Miguel Flavored Beer (Lemon), and Cerveza Negra.
Pale Pilsen, incidentally, is celebrating its 125th anniversary in the Philippines.
VIP tickets go for P600 each with free beer; general admission, P350 also with free beer.
Gates open at 3 p.m. The festival ends at 3 a.m. the following day.
