The hustle and bustle of the city can take its toll on a creative’s mind and body. Sometimes, you need to get away to recharge and find inspiration in a new environment. Craft Camp PH is your escape to find art in your heart again.
Aimed to bring together individuals who love making things with their hands, Craft Camp PH will awaken your love for the handmade with five capsule craft sessions and styled gatherings on a weekend by the beach.
The first Craft Camp was held last May 2013 in Zambales, composed of 20 participants and seven craft instructors. Organized by Mansy Abesamis, Alessandra Lanot, Mikko Sumulong, Macy Alcaraz, and Veronica Cosio, this year’s Craft Camp features a relaxed module of table gatherings paired with handmade crafting.
Craft Camp PH will be held at Urbiz Garden Place, a beautiful and private beach house in San Juan, La Union.
The schedule includes sessions on making fabric banners with Nica Cosio, watercolor crafts with Alessa Lanot, journal writing with Macy Alcaraz, hand weaving twiggy necklaces with Mikko Sumulong and beach blanket marbling with Mansy Abesamis. There will be live demos for papercutting, calligraphy and botanical doodles, rubbercut stamping, and nail art. There will also be live art installations, collaborative art projects, and crafting stations all over the camp site.
There will be a DIY Smores and Music Night and plenty of time for beach fun as well.
Participants will be taking home special goodie bags filled with craft materials and items from the Craft Camp sponsors.
The Craft Camp fee is at P6850 per head and is inclusive of 5 craft workshops, meals, transportation, and accommodations. To register and find out more information, check out https://www.craftcamp.ph.
