Classical singing group Viva Voce closes Filfest season in Alabang

VIVA VOCE began as an intensive summer voice camp in 2010, the first of its kind in the Philippines. It is composed of voice teachers Camille Lopez Molina, Randy Gilongo, Pablo Molina, John Glenn Gaerlan and Rica Nepomuceno, and pianists Peter Porticos, Myrna Lopez and Najib Ismail.

Its aim is to give young classical singers a venue for performance and learning

To date, Viva Voce has performed for Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas’ acclaimed production of “Noli Me Tangere,” Philippine Educational Theater Association’s “Himala,” MusicArtes’ “Madama Butterfly,” Lyric Opera of the Philippines’ “Carmen” and the Manila Symphony Orchestra’s recording of Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”

This year they were part of Gilbert & Sullivan’s operetta “Trial by Jury” mounted at the Yuchengco Hall in RCBC Plaza and UP Malcolm Hall.

Viva Voce will perform at “Gabi ng Musikang Pilipino,” the last concert of Filfest season 8 at the Insular Life Theater in Alabang, Muntinlupa on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.   For tickets, call Marie at 0917-8177261 or 5853823.
