Erratum on ‘Eroica’

IN AN ARTICLE last Sept. 7, Amadís Ma. Guerrero reports that outgoing Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra conductor Olivier Ochanine stated that Beethoven’s “Eroica” symphony has not been played in the Philippines since 1980. This is an error, as the Manila Symphony Orchestra performed it at Meralco Theater just last March 13 under Arturo Molina, and before that at the Lanuza Hall under Singaporean conductor Darrel Ang and at the Cultural Center of the Philippines under guest conductor Thanos Adamopoulos. Kindly correct this error for the benefit of your readers.
