Some 600 delegates attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Ministerial Meetings were treated to a festive musical performance dubbed “Archipelago of Sounds” during a welcome dinner held Nov. 16 at the grand ballroom of Marriott Manila.

The show featured a mix of traditional and contemporary Filipino music, interpreted by some of the country’s most prominent classical, theater and pop artists including Rachelle Gerodias, Joanna Ampil, Aicelle Santos, Jett Pangan and the Philippine Madrigal Singers.

After the show, Bernard Morgan of the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, who came with wife Margaret, quipped: “It was so much fun, we were waiting for act two!”
