A Thanksgiving table centerpiece

Although Thanksgiving is an American tradition, some Filipinos have adopted it to start the holiday season. There’s much to be thankful for, and what better way to express one’s thanks than gathering loved ones for a specially prepared meal to celebrate abundance in all aspects of our lives?

Here is our version of a Woodland Thanksgiving Table centerpiece you can easily make.

Materials: Styrofoam balls and eggs covered in feathers, bought from Duty Free Fiesta Mall; dried vines found in the garden to be shaped into nests; decorative birds, available at Nest; and artificial foliage available at Landmark

Procedure:

 

CREATE a bed of assorted foliage as the base of the centerpiece. Layer on the different varieties of leaves to achieve a lush garden-like landscape.
COMPOSE all materials together in a seemingly random manner, balancing all elements to create symmetry.
TO CARRY on the theme, use the dried vines as napkin rings.
