Makeup junkies bathed in neon at this year’s Beauty Addict event

Manila’s makeup junkies flocked to Rustan’s Ayala Center at the annual #RustansBeautyAddict event.

Now on its third year, the event had the luxury department store staging an evening of activities, fun and games in connection with its roster of beauty brands.

The whole beauty section of Rustan’s was converted into a neon spectacle inspired by Jem and the Holograms. Each beauty counter featured a fun promo or game for women to try out. At Chanel, lip-shaped sugar cookies were given out; MAC Cosmetics had makeover sessions that ended with glam photoshoots; Laura Mercier had a fun ring toss game (shoot three rings on a bottle and win a prize); NARS had a fun word search game where you had to find lipstick shade names; and Benefit had a “pin the brow on the model” game.

Beneficiary

A Rustan’s event is never complete without a giving component. This year’s beneficiary was the Philippine Red Cross, which received P300 for each photograph uploaded on social media with the hashtag #RustansBeautyAddictGivesBack.

Beauty Addict Neon also relaunched the first beauty privilege card in the Philippines. Cardholders are entitled to beauty perks and privileges from Rustan’s. For every P200 purchase, a member earns a point, which may be exchanged for premium rewards via Rustan’s The Beauty Source’s website. Membership is complimentary to any customer who has a minimum single receipt purchase of P2,500 at the store’s beauty section.

To know more about the Beauty Addict card and how you can join next year’s Beauty Addict event, ask a sales associate the next time you go makeup shopping at Rustan’s.
