New aesthetic clinic sets the bar for nose lifts

Dr. LEVI John Lansangan is a certified facial plastic surgeon specializing in advanced reconstructive rhinoplasty.

He trained in South Korea and opened the first clinic in the Philippines to offer plastic surgery on the nose using Gore-Tex Technology with Cartilage Grafting.

His clinic, the Dr. Shimmian Aesthetic Center, practices the same advanced technology as that of South Korea’s, the first country to apply the procedure. Shimmian (shi-mi-en) means “a beauty that comes from the heart.”

Lansangan said he has developed a technique for a safe and silicone-free nose lift using Gore-Tex implant, an advanced  material for the repair or enhancement of the soft tissues of the face, including the nose.

Asked what made Gore-Tex a good implant material, Lansangan replied, “Healing with Gore-Tex is by incorporation. Unlike silicone implant in which the tissues simply encapsulate around the implant, Gore-Tex allows the surrounding tissues to grow within and through it, thus eliminating material rejection, eventual nasal contractions and other complications.”

Lansangan—who has over 15 years experience in crafting the ideal nasal profile for Asians—has partnered with Creations, the salon of Lourd Ramos, to come up with a

one-stop shop for women.

Aiming to cater to new demands and lifestyles, Lansangan said that there are women who aspire to have the ideal nose that will enhance the rest of the face.

Such enhancement may go a long way to boosting confidence, especially for women in high-profile careers.
