‘Beauty is not only skin-deep, but spiritual’–Hayden Kho

A triple treat of fun, fab and great Ilonggo food took place when Belo Medical Group stormed Bacolod City as part of its year-long 25th-anniversary celebration.

As a result, the City of Smiles got a dose of beauty and panache in an afternoon celebration with the handsome Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. and the rest of the fab Belo team of doctors.

The event was organized by my palangga, Jojie Dingcong, and styled by Robert Blancaflor, who dotted the Sugarland Hotel Ballroom with pink floral set-ups.

Bacolod’s business and high-society members were in full attendance.

In his short talk, “From Skin Care to Soul Care,” Doctor Kho presented an array of cosmetic and dermatological solutions offered by the Belo Medical Group to address the most common skin and body concerns.

Among the solutions discussed were celebrity favorites such as Fraxel laser for skin resurfacing, Picosure laser for pigmentation and tattoos, Ulthera for skin tightening, and Belo’s most famous procedure, Laser Liposuction.

“What we see in front of the mirror is important for one’s wellbeing, but what’s truly important is who we see when we face the mirror of our soul,” said Doctor Kho.

“As the leader in aesthetic dermatology and cosmetic surgery in the country, Belo Medical Group attributes its success not only to making people look and feel more beautiful, but also to having a big heart to thoroughly care for someone inside and out,” he said.

As a spiritually renewed man himself, he talked about his conversion. He explained that taking care of one’s soul “starts by seeking the one person who represents true beauty, the person of Jesus Christ.”

The event was made more interesting when Belo’s top-of-the-line doctors gave free consultations and  answered inquiries.

Guests also enjoyed the raffle prizes of select premium Belo products. Best of all, they all went home with ZO Skin Health, a unique set of skin-care products formulated by world-renowned dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi  and exclusively distributed by Belo Medical Group in the country.

New nightclub

Revel is the new chic exclusive spot for our night people to see and be seen in. It is the newest addition to the Palace Nightlife Complex in Taguig.

You’ll notice immediately Revel’s central golden spherical star that hangs from the ceiling greeting everyone.

At the opening, guests were served free-flowing cocktails by Erwan Heussaff and delectable dishes from chef Mikko Reyes.

Lady DJ Bad Kiss started the night rocking and rolling with funky soulful music, and when the clock struck 12, Revel partner and my palangga JM Rodriguez led the toast by thanking everyone who supported the Palace and the clubs that came before.

The festivities continued with DJs John Monreal and Mars Miranda on deck.

Naturellement, Manille’s A-listers attended the event with no hangers on, as it was strictly by-invitation only.  The Palace mega hotshot partners aside from JM —Erik Cua, GP Reyes and Raymond Gutierrez—were very happy about the celebration.

It was truly a grand, fabulous opening of Revel at the Palace which was conceived to cater to the older, more accomplished partying patrons of Valkyrie and Pool Club. It is the fifth concept store of the Palace group (after Valkyrie, Pool Club, Brewery and Naya).

Revel is the ultraluxury lounge that boasts an elegant, more intimate ambience where people can talk and socialize without blaring music in the background. It is a soaring two-level venue with different tables, each with its own unique character. Couches facing the Pool Club give the guests a glimpse of the action happening outside, while others that are secluded award more privacy to patrons.

Revel is open Monday-Saturday, 6 p.m. onwards.
