That’s the SM gourmet supermarket that opened last Thursday on the ground floor of Megamall A.

The 25-year-old SM Supermarket now has a gourmet supermarket for high-end selections, specialty food, and healthy food.

The minute you walk in you feel freshness around you. The supermarket’s layout and medium-height shelves give an uncluttered view of the whole store no matter where you stand. There are bright-colored signs, ample lighting and spacing between aisles for comfortable shopping.

Its fresh section is a garden of colors and choices of fruits and vegetables.

There’s a good variety of meat cuts, frozen meats and delis, including steak burgers and Chicago gourmet steaks.

The sausage area has all kinds, including Debreziner, Cabanossi, Wienerli. The cheese section is just as good.

Dish suggestions are posted to help you plan your meals.

The Food To Go section includes a row of fresh juices, from sugar cane juice to basil juice.

For the health buffs, there are green apples, grapes, kiwi fruit, salmon, artichokes, asparagus, banana, cauliflower, potatoes, turnips, orange, grapefruit, white corn, yellow corn, red and yellow tomatoes, pumpkins, bell peppers.

The store has two aisles of imported spices, sauces and condiments.
