Is there a woman who doesn’t like jewelry? I liken jewelry to food—while we have our individual preferences, wearing precious stones and eating are desirable.
So when word came out that Lucy Torres Gomez was working with Jul B. Dizon on a jewelry collection, I got excited.
The recent launch of the Lucy x Candice Collection revealed elegant pieces, but my personal fave would be the cameo brooches, which I think every woman should have.
It was a well-attended event. Manila’s young fashionable crowd was there to express support for the creative collaboration.
“Jewelry always seals the deal for me,” said Lucy. “Over a great bag, fantastic shoes, or a handful of dreamy dresses, I would rather spend good money on jewelry.”
As a fitting symbol, Lucy now adds another title to her varied pursuits. Aside from being a model, actress and politician, she is now a jewelry designer—following in the footsteps of her jeweler lola.
Aside from being one of the faces of jewelry brand Jul B. Dizon, Lucy now stars in a new collection made in collaboration with designer Candice Dizon.
This team-up has resulted in a new line of stunning pieces infused with Lucy’s own personal style.
Incidentally, I dropped by Jul B. Dizon’s shop at Escolta in Manila Peninsula to say hi to Candy who’s a good friend. I chanced upon pendants that were the shape of a boy or a girl made of precious and semiprecious stones.
Needless to say I went home with a “boy”—liking it so much that I posted a photo of it on Instagram to suggest it to my friends.
Truth is, there are many pieces to choose from, and the price range varies so there issomething for everyone.
If you’re thinking of a lasting holiday gift for your loved ones or even yourself, then you should check out The Lucy x Candice Collection or the Jul B. Dizon bling.
