PIA WURTZBACH, to me, is the first Filipina beauty queen whose sexiness comes out naturally,”
says Filipino-Australian pageant guru Peter Sereno. That is why she is the perfect muse for Lesley Mobo’s Red Cross collection.
WILL she make it to the finals? “I experiment a lot with layering and surface decoration to make it more glittery,” Lesley says about his collection. He explains that he experimented a
lot with romance and kitsch, but with a more playful and festive feel, to add humor to the collection. “I wanted it to be fun,” he adds.
His inspirations are an eclectic mix of periods, ranging from the Tudor and Victorian eras,
with surface layering of beads, feathers and lace, and culminating in the ’70s’ “Studio 54” and
the ’80s “Dynasty glam” with paillettes and glitters.
