The Miss Universe fever has not shown signs of dying down anytime soon in the Philippines.

Two days after the country’s bet, Pia Wurtzbach, has been crowed as 2015 Miss Universe, Filipinos continue to voice their opinions on the pageant and the contestants in various platforms, but most actively on social media.

While the contestant from Germany has been slammed by Filipino netizens for claiming that none of the competitors voted for Philippines in the final round, Miss Bulgaria has earned the praise of Wurtzbach’s supporters for her gesture during the correct announcement.

Radostina “Joy” Todorova, 20, was seen cheering on Wurtzbach when she was correctly announced as this year’s winner, after host Steve Harvey falsely called Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as Miss Universe.

Filipino fans have dubbed Todorva as the “pambansang bestie” (national best friend) for egging on Wurtzbach to “go” and accept her crown. They have also started to refer to their best friends or most ardent supporters as the “Miss Bulgaria” in their lives.

On Wednesday, Todorova posted a popular meme on her Instagram page with the caption, “I ❤️ you… Pia!” IDL
