Football fever

AT THE National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), football is known for its “dynasties,” with a handful of schools dominating the sport. The recent juniors and seniors finals at the Rizal Football Field, however, proved that there’s plenty of room for new and exciting teams to shine.

La Salle Green Hills won the juniors division for the second straight year, gaining momentum from a come-from-behind performance to beat San Beda College-Rizal, 5-3.

In the seniors division, Arellano University ended defending champion San Beda College’s five-year reign with a score of 2-0. This marks Arellano University’s first-ever NCAA football victory.
