THE LISA Macuja School of Ballet Manila (BM) will hold nationwide auditions for ballet scholars to its 2016 Summer Intensive Workshop. The audition is open to both male and female applicants, 10 years old and above, preferably with previous dance training.

Now on its 19th year, BM’s summer workshop has discovered new talents, many of whom have become BM artists.

Among its roster of notable alumni are Christine Rocas of Joffrey Ballet; Nazer Salgado of the Singapore Dance Theatre; Asian Grand Prix silver medalists Nicole Barroso and Rissa May Camaclang; and BM members Dawna Reign Mangahas, Alvin Santos and Jessa Balote.

The two-month workshop will start on April 4 and culminate in the annual Just Dance recital program on May 29, where students and scholars get the chance to perform onstage with BM company members in a professionally staged production.
