Pia Wurtzbach says she is ‘sawi’ even though she’s Miss Universe

THE reigning queen Pia Wurtzbach said she is heartbroken even though she is already the most beautiful woman in the universe.

During her grand press conference at Novotel on Sunday, the Miss Universe 2015 clarified that she remains up to now a single woman.

“Kita mo, kahit Miss Universe, pwede ka pa ring sawi?” Wurtzbach said, eliciting laughter from the audience.

“Hashtag, team sawi!” she added.

Wurtzbach said she used to date someone before winning the crown but it didn’t work out.

Wurtzbach clarified her answer during an interview segment aired during the Miss Universe program when she was asked by her fellow pageant contestants if she has a boyfriend.

“My mother doesn’t know, so no!” Wurtzbach said when asked about her lovelife during the segment which served as an ice breaker before she was announced the queen.

Wurtzbach clarified that her answer “was nothing, really.”

“I don’t have a boyfriend. I didn’t have a boyfriend during the competition. I thought I was seeing somebody, but it turns out, I wasn’t,” Wurtzbach said.

The queen said her gem-studded crown is her boyfriend for now.

“When I fall in love, I tend to give everything. We don’t want that. So this is my boyfriend,” she said, pointing to her $300,000 diadem.
Wurtzbach  is the third Filipina to win the title, ending a title drought of 42 years for the Philippines.
The Philippines last took home the crown in 1973, courtesy of Margie Moran. It was a short wait after the victory of Gloria Diaz in 1969.

Wurtzbach  won the most awkward Miss Universe in history after its host Steve Harvey wrongfully crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez. Gutierrez had to be decrowned on live telecast to give way to the rightful queen.
