Reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who has returned to the country unannounced, was spotted at the Peninsula Manila hotel in Makati City on Good Friday.

In a contributed photo by Dinah Fraser, which was taken at 1:12 p.m., Wurtzbach was seen wearing the same bright yellow dress in an Instagram photo of herself in what appeared to be a hotel room.

Wurtzbach was photographed holding a bouquet of flowers while walking at the lobby of the 5-star hotel at the central business district.

“Back in sunny Manila!” Wurtzbach wrote on her Instagram account on Friday afternoon.

Earlier on Friday, the Filipino beauty queen also shared a photo of her in angel wings through the official Miss Universe Facebook page, saying that she was “flying to somewhere warm today.”

“Can’t wait to be back home soon and wear a Filipiniana again. Won’t be so long, I hope!” she said in a separate post.

Wurtzbach last came home to the country last January for a week-long series of homecoming activities after winning the Miss Universe crown in December 2015.

She is expected to turn over her Binibining Pilipinas Universe crown on April 17. YG/RAM
