Anthony Bourdain samples Jollibee, adobo in season premiere of hit show

Renowned chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain will feature Manila in the Season 7 premier of his hit show “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” according to a press release issued by CNN on Wednesday.

 

In the episode, Bourdain explored Manila during its Christmas season. He sampled Filipino dishes as sizzling pork sisig, kare-kare, adobo and halo-halo.

 

He also tried items from the Filipino fastfood chain Jollibee.

The Manila episode of Parts Unknown will air on April 24.

 

Aside from Manila, the eight-episode season of Parts Unknown will explore Buenos Aires, Chicago, Georgia, the Greek Islands, Montana, and Senegal.

 

In December, Bourdain made headlines after netizens spotted him in various establishments around the metropolis. He was seen at a Korean restaurant in Malate, a Jollibee branch in Pasay City and even toured the apartment of cultural activist Carlos Celdran.
