Ely Buendia, Ebe Dancel, Lourd de Veyra jam in UST literature forum

ELY Buendia of Eraserheads, Ebe Dancel of Sugarfree, and Lourd Ernest de Veyra of Radioactive Sago Project will be speaking in the USTingan literary forum on April 20, 3-5 p.m., at the UST Civil Law Auditorium, G/F, Main Bldg., University of Santo Tomas, España Blvd., Sampaloc, Manila.
The event “Titik at Himig: Philippine Contemporary Songwriting and OPM,” is organized by the UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (UST CCWLS), with the UST Department of Literature, in connection with April as National Literature Month.
USTingan is the semestral informal gathering of writers, teachers, students, and lovers of literature to discuss contemporary issues on writing, publishing, and popular culture.
Buendia gained fame as the front man and guitarist of the Eraserheads, the popular rock band of the 1990s. He is guitarist and lead vocalist for Pupil and The Oktaves. He is also a movie director.
Musician and songwriter Dancel is former front man and guitarist of the band Sugarfree. As solo artist, he has released the albums, “Dalawang Mukha ng Pag-ibig” and “Bawat Daan.”
De Veyra became famous as the vocalist of the jazz rock band Radioactive Sago Project.
He is also an award-winning a poet, journalist, broadcast personality, and activist.
