MOTHER’S Day is just a couple of weeks away, so we’ve prepared a DIY activity for the family to make mom feel extra-special.
While flowers may be the top choice as gift, level up by presenting fresh blooms in a custom-made vase with a heartfelt message.
Tip:
Choose colors that will match mom’s home interiors so your gift—and the memory of it— lingers even after Mother’s Day.
You may substitute silk flowers for the real thing.
Materials:
Empty wine bottles
Spray paint
Colored markers
Trims and decor (optional)
Craft paper (from National Book Store) and printed craft tape (from the 88-peso Japan store)
Method:
Spray paint wine or water bottles with the color of your choice.
While waiting for the paint to dry, cut out letters and symbols that you wish to put on the bottles.
When paint is dry, use double-sided tape to stick the cutout letters and symbols.
Trim neck and base of the bottle with printed craft tape.
Arrange flowers and leaves and place on a tabletop or counter.
Option: You can use Pentel pens or colored markers to write letters or draw symbols.
