Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes will perform on Oct. 26 at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, concert promoter Music Management International confirmed to the Inquirer today, May 18.
The show is part of Mendes’ 2016 world tour.
Mendes, 17, released his debut album “Handwritten” in 2015; it debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts with the hit singles “Stitches,” “Life of the Party,” “Something Big,” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (a duet with Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello).
The Toronto-born Mendes has been named one of Time magazine’s Most Influential Teens of 2014 and 2015, as well as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2016.
He has cited Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and Ed Sheeran as his musical influences.
