THE MINISTRY of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Japan Foundation are now accepting entries for the Tenth International MANGA Award.
Established in May 2007 and held annually since, the International MANGA Award aims to recognize manga creators who contribute to the spread of manga culture overseas as well as international cultural exchange through manga.
Only works produced between 2013 and 2016 will be accepted. Two (2) copies must be submitted with their English translation if written in the local language.
A Gold Award will go to the best manga work submitted. The next three best manga entries shall each receive a Silver Award. Recipients will be invited to Japan by the Japan Foundation to attend the awards ceremony. During their stay in Japan, recipients will exchange ideas with Japanese manga creators, visit publishing companies and tour local sites.
Entries will be accepted until Friday, June 17, 2016. Applications should be mailed to any of the following addresses:
