The official Twitter account of the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” stage play on Tuesday shared official photos from the photoshoot of actors who will portray the famous wizard, his wife Ginny Weasley, and their youngest son Albus Severus.

Jamie Parker will play the role of Harry; Ginny will be portrayed by Poppy Miller; and Sam Clemmett will play the role of Albus Severus.

The two-part play, which will open in London on June 30, will have its first public preview next week.

Author J.K. Rowling earlier said the play will focus on the story of an “overworked” Harry Potter working at the Ministry of Magic and father of three children.

“While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places,” a synopsis given by Rowling on Pottermore website last October read.

Rowling also previously announced that the play’s script will be the series’ eighth book, which will be published as a “Special Rehearsal Edition” on July 31, a day after the play’s premiere.  TVJ
