Sylvia Cancio, a New York-based Filipino esthetician and founder of La Manille School of Esthetics and Wellness (LMSE), announces the opening of classes on Basic Aesthetic Course on July 4 at the school’s Makati and Cebu locations.
LMSE was established in January 2011 by Cancio and Ms Seven Brown, a grooming and beauty director and skin care educator in New York.
LMSE aims to provide students with a firm foundation and in-depth knowledge of professional skin care.
It offers a certificate course that runs for three months with daily classes andcovers the basic knowledge an esthetician needs to master.
As a foundation course, the school provides graduates with the underlying theory of skin including subjects on nutrition, anatomy, chemistry and electricity.
LMSE provides graduates with effective anti-aging treatments as well as relaxing and therapeutic facials and quality body skin care.
Pop icon Nonoy Zuñiga, a Doctor of Medicine graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas, is a guest instructor.
LMSE is the first and only esthetic school of its kind in the country whose graduates can pursue a professional career in skincare at par with estheticians in New York, Paris, London and other international cities.
