Starbucks Philippines has an exclusive line of merchandise in collaboration with Vivienne Tam inspired by her “Bird and Flora” print.

 

The collection echoes Asian culture in a modern design vocabulary.

 

The Vivienne Tam collaboration is the latest in a series of partnerships that Starbucks has with designers for the chain’s customers.

 

The stylish collection includes:

 

Vivienne Tam + Starbucks double wall mug, inspired by Vivienne Tam’s iconic “Bird and Flora” print. Starbucks double wall mug helps keep beverages hot and insulated.

 

Vivienne Tam + Starbucks tote bag is a reusable tote in heavy polyester, in vibrant colors.

 

Collection is available only until July 10.

 

Also available is the Mocha Ribbon Chip Frappuccino Blended Beverage with cookie straw.

 

It has Java chips. The cup is lined with mocha sauce and finished with chocolate whipped cream, aromatic Turkish coffee grind and cookie straw.

 

‘I Hate to Cook’ cooking class

 

The Maya Kitchen’s “I Hate to Cook” cooking class series teaches culinary basics so that participants can overcome their  dislike for cooking.

 

On July 9, the class is on a five-course meal for a family of any size.

 

On July 16—How to deal with leftovers and the use of slow cookers and rice cookers. Both sessions include hands-on and group workshops. Each class costs P2,000.

 

On July 9—Beginner’s Icing. Learn how to make boiled icing, Swiss meringue and ganache. The class includes hands-on and group workshops and costs P2,000.

 

Basic Culinary is on July 12-15 and July 26-29—Cooking Fundamentals and International Standard Techniques of meal preparation from soup, salad, pasta, main courses to desserts for home and institutional scale kitchens with workshop. Class fee: P9,000

 

Basic Baking is on July 19-22—basic baking techniques applicable to small and commercial-scale production of recipes and formulations of quick breads, cakes and other bread varieties. Class fee: P8,000.

 

July 23—Pies and Tarts, how to bake caramel butter tarts, mud pie, chocolate chiffon pie and banana cream pie. Class includes hands-on and group workshops. Class fee: P2,000.

 

July 30—Commercial Breads such as kopi roti buns, ensaymada, cinnamon rolls and Spanish bread. Class fee: P2,000.
