F YOU can’t wait to see the much talked about movies based on books on the big screen, leaf through the pages of these novels which you could snag at this year’s Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) happening at the SMX Mall of Asia in Pasay City from Sept. 14-18:

“The Queen of Katwe.” The biographical drama based on the book about a female chess master by Tim Crothers; “The Girl on the Train,” based on British author Paula Hawkins’ best-selling thriller; “A Monster Calls,” based on Patrick Ness’ fantasy novel; “Inferno,” based on Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” series with Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon; “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” based on J.K. Rowling’s best-selling book set in the Harry Potter universe; “Silence,” based on Shusaku Endo’s classic novel; “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children,” based on the book by Ransom Riggs; and “Doctor Strange,” based on the popular comics franchise.
