2nd  Harvest at Central Square  highlights PH spirits

A repeat of the highly successful Philippine Harvest at Central Square held last May opened yesterday and will run until Aug. 21.

The Department of Agriculture, with the SSI Group, Inc., celebrates and promotes the richness of Philippine agriculture through a wide range of exhibitors  selling their  food products at Central Square, BGC, Taguig.

There are organic, heirloom and other indigenous rice and grains varieties.

The range now includes Philippine spirits, a wide variety of local wines and liqueurs made from tropical fruits, honey and rice.

Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol requested the presence of some organic rice farmers to showcase indigenous grains.

In the three-day fair, shoppers can buy, bring home and appreciate organic, artisanal, natural and indigenous products.

The fair is on the lower and upper ground floors of Central Square in BGC, open during mall hours.
