LOS ANGELES, CA—Telecom network Globe is teaming up with concert promoter MMI Live to sponsor the live streaming of British band Coldplay’s concert at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena here in LA tonight, Aug. 20 (Aug. 21 Manila time).
The live streaming is accessible via #ManilaLovesColdplay on youtube.com/globeph at 12 noon Manila time.
The event will surely heighten the anticipation of Filipino fans who have been waiting for confirmation of the band’s rumored show at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
Last April the Inquirer reported that the MOA Arena has been booked for Coldplay to perform in November, but apparently it won’t push through for still unknown reasons.
In any case, the live streaming could be a hint that the critically acclaimed and commercially successful group is, after all, due to play in Manila soon.
Rhiza Pascua, head of MMI Live, declined to comment on the exact date of Coldplay’s MOA concert.
However, a source told Inquirer that it might be on April 2017.
