“What benefit can psychic ability give us? Why develop it at all?” These questions have often been asked of me.
There are many ways by which psychic ability can benefit individuals. Telepathy, for example, can reveal if a person has bad intentions or is not trustworthy. Precognition can warn us of accidents before they occur. Psychometry can detect whether an object such as an antique or crystal has positive or negative energy. And clairvoyance can tell us if a house has negative energies or entities.
But the most practical and useful application of one’s psychic ability, I believe, is in the diagnosis of illness without the use of medical instruments, and in healing sickness without the use of drugs or medicines.
Our local albolarios, faith healers, and esperitistas are very good at determining the illness of patients without the use of medical apparatus or laboratory tests. Such an ability can be lifesaving, especially in cases where medical science cannot determine the cause of a patient’s sickness with their sophisticated instruments.
In Western countries, there are gifted individuals called “medical intuitives” who can tell what is wrong with a person by merely looking at them. One of the more well-known medical intuitives was Barbara Ann Brennan of New York, author of the best selling book “Hands of Light.” I met Brennan in London in the early ’90s.
I accompanied the Filipino faith healer, Emilio Laporga, who was invited to demonstrate his healing practice of psychic surgery before a conference held in that city.
Brennan saw the spark of energy from the tips of the healer’s fingers as he made an incision on a patient’s body from a distance of about three feet.
A Filipino psychic doctor of medicine, the late Dr. Floro Brosas, formerly from Liliw, Laguna, was well-known for his ability, not only to heal many patients but to see the cause or causes of a person’s illness simply by looking at him or her. Once a patient entered Dr. Brosas’ clinic, he already knew what the patient’s sickness was, and what caused it.
Ordinary individuals
However, psychic diagnosis or the ability to tell what the illness of a person is without any medical instrument or laboratory test can be done by ordinary individuals who never had any demonstrable psychic ability before that.
In my “Basic ESP and Intuition Development” seminar, I teach people how to diagnose a person’s illness, though he may have just met that person for the first time. I ask each participants in the class to choose a person he or she has never met before to be his or her partner for the exercise. The only thing they need to know are each other’s names.
After a brief explanation of the relationship between brain waves and ESP, and after guiding them into a relaxed meditative state, I ask the class to mentally scan the body of their partner from head to foot, and observe anything that catches their attention. They need not know the name of the disease, since they are not doctors of medicine. It is enough that they describe what they see or sense, and the part of the body affected.
The following is the testimony of lawyer Samson Tan of Bacolod City who took the seminar in 1995:
“My mom has been complaining about her stomach problem. So I decided to make her the subject of the psychic diagnosis I learned in the seminar. During the process, I saw a dark spot on my mom’s stomach. I told her what I saw when she called me, but she did not believe me. Seven to eight years later, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. The surgeon said that the cancer had been with her about seven or eight years. That was about the time I told her I saw a dark spot in her stomach during an exercise in your seminar.”
Throughout my more than 25 years of conducting this ESP seminar, some 75 to 90 percent of the participants in the class are able to tell what their partner’s medical or health problem is. Not only that, they are even able to tell if their partner’s body or skin has any moles, scars or birth marks.
How can such individuals who have never done such psychic investigation do this? The answer is this: Each of us is a psychic, whether we believe it or not, and whether we like it or not. Given the right technique or procedure and the night attitude, almost anyone can do psychic reading and diagnosis.
After learning the correct technique, all they need to do is to practice.
