Nick Joaquin literary awards slated Sept. 13

THE PHILIPPINES Graphic will hold the awarding ceremonies of the 2016 Nick Joaquin Literary Prize on Sept. 13, at Novotel Manila, Cubao, Quezon City.

Finalists are drawn from 52 works of fiction originally published in the Graphic.

For the last three years, the magazine has also added a Publisher’s Choice Poet of the Year and three special recognitions for fiction, said editor in chief Joel Pablo Salud.

The ceremonies will also honor Ambassador Antonio Cabangon Chua, the late publisher of the Graphic, for his patronage of literature and publishing, Salud added.
