When Charlie and the Chocolate Factory first premiered, both children and adults alike were in awe at Willy Wonka’s sweet creations in the movie. Who wouldn’t want to swim in that chocolate river, right?
While it’s still too ambitious to make a whole forest of sweets or wallpaper that you can lick, it looks like Universal Orlando is taking some of Mr. Wonka’s notes with the opening of their new restaurant Toothsome Chocolate Factory. According to Universal Orlando’s official blog, the place “will transport you to a 19th century-inspired Steampunk chocolate factory” which will serve both dessert and savory dishes.
And to go with the theme, they say that their servers will also be dressed up in Steampunk fashion.
The restaurant will be found along the Universal CityWalk where you can also find the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. While the opening date’s still unspecified, Universal was kind enough to give everyone a sneak peek of some of their mouthwatering milkshakes and sundaes.
Oh, how we wish someone would open a franchise of Toothsome Chocolate Factory over here in the Philippines, too. But right now, all we can do is live vicariously through the people who will get to visit.
