THIS YEAR, as Avon Philippines celebrates 130 years globally, the company invites men and women to take part in a grand challenge: to walk “130 Million Steps to Fight Breast Cancer.”

In October, pledge steps to the cause by using the free Avon 130 Million Steps Pedometer App.

The application is available for free on the Google Play Store and App Store. Just sign up, set your step goal for the day, and start walking.

When connected to the internet, your steps are automatically synched to the grand total, and you can track your total contribution to the campaign.

By sharing daily step achievements on Facebook and inviting friends to join the #130MillionSteps challenge, everyone can help create more awareness for the cause.

Avon Philippines Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer 2016 ambassadors, Kapuso stars Jennylyn Mercado and Rocco Nacino, encourage fans to step up. “One in every 13 Filipino women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime,” Jennylyn reminds. “Early detection is still the best protection.”

Says Rocco: “The more funds and awareness we raise, the more patients and survivors we can help through the Avon-Philippine General Hospital (PHH) Breast Care Center.”

Wear the Avon 130 Million Steps KGBC T-shirt, available for P299. From each shirt sold, P20 goes to the maintenance of facilities and support groups of the Avon-PGH Breast Care Center.

The Avon Pedometer App also features bank account details for donations that will go directly to the Philippine Cancer Society Inc., and toward the Avon-PGH Breast Care Center.

Everyone is invited to join Avon Philippines, Jennylyn and Rocco for a Grand Downloading Day on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 a.m., at Liwasang Ullalim, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex.

Participants can download the pedometer app and join a 3K walk. Celebrity trainers, coach Jim and Toni Saret, will be sent off on their nationwide Walk of Awareness to promote the cause and the Avon Pedometer App.

Stepping out with Avon Philippines are the Philippine Cancer Society, GMA Network, SM Cares, The Medical City Clark, Sketchers and Kyowa.

Share your step journey on social media using #130MillionSteps; like Avon Philippines on Facebook and follow @AvonPH on Instagram and Twitter.
