Cebu welcomes first Longchamp store outside Luzon

That was quite a crush, when the first Longchamp boutique outside Luzon was launched by Rustan’s at the ground level of its department store in Ayala Center Cebu.

It was a product preview of its high-quality bags, and other products, that caused the mad rush on opening night. Ladies were quick to make their choices, drop by the cash register and pose for photos with their priced purchases.

Overwhelmed by the Cebuano enthusiasm as they delivered their welcome messages were Donnie Tantoco, president of Rustan Commercial Corporation; and Romain Chappotteau, area retail manager of Longchamp for Asia Pacific.

Whatever merchandise they have in Manila is also available in Cebu, pointed out the personable Paolo Lobregat, Rustan Commercial Corporation’s division manager for bags, shoes and accessories.

Champagne flowed and delectable canapes were served, but the unperturbed action was really on making the right choices as to which bag to bag.

Glimpsed: Bong Dy and her staff from Ayala Center, Christine Pelaez, Bernadette Gallego and daughter Mirella, Kingsley Medalla and his mom, Pacita Sode, Pauline Hofer, Rose Hennessy, Carla del Prado, Honey Loop, Carla McKowen, Monina Ouano and granddaughter Golda, Ato and Gigi Alvarez, Evelyn Ugarte and daughter in law Melissa Ugarte, Cheereekee Garcia, Mylene So, Bernie Aboitiz, Susie Milne Babie Go, Teresin Mendezona.

Lucky winner of the Longchamp bag raffled that evening was Caroline Quisumbing.

Congratulated for the great success of the evening were Jaja Rama and Kloodie Chiongbian of Big Seed PR and Events.
