The six Sabel ceramic tiles by National Artist (visual arts) BenCab were the most hotly fought pieces in the fundraising gala of the National Gallery in Singapore.
The ceramic tiles fetched SG$24,000, from a starting bid of SG$6,000.
The fundraising was the Singapore Empire Ball held last Saturday night./rga
