This weekend, Cupcakes by Sonja is celebrating its first decade with donuts—delicious treats oozing with different kinds of filling.

Since opening at Serendra 10 years ago, Cupcakes by Sonja has grown, expanding its menu of delightful cupcakes to other desserts and opening two more stores and a cake shop that does customized creations.

Owner Sonja Ocampo said, “I am feeling very grateful. I am thankful for all that has happened, the good and the bad. I learned so much and was able to meet many awesome people along the way.”

This weekend, celebrate with Sonja by sinking your teeth into its special anniversary donuts.

“Like cupcakes, they are nostalgic, comforting and fun to make,” she said.

It’s a mix of classic crowd-pleasers (Vanilla, Caramel, Chocolate and Hazelnut), fun and fruity picks (Mixed Berry Ripple and Strawberry Cheesecake), and more sophisticated (and even savory) flavors (Cacio e Pepe, Truffle and Olive Oil & Basil).

And will these donuts become part of Sonja’s permanent menu? “We’ll see how it goes,” she said.
