Pandora celebrates a woman’s uniqueness

As if in homage to the woman after which it is named—she who was endowed by the gods with unique gifts, according to Greek mythology—Pandora, the Danish jewelry brand, is paying tribute this season to the singularity and uniqueness of every woman.

For its Autumn 2016 collection, Pandora rolls out pieces so versatile they take on a new feel and flavor, depending on the woman who’s wearing them.

The designs are largely vintage, but styled into modern keepsakes. They’re classified under three collections: Vintage Allure, a nod to architectural and Art Deco styles; Shimmering Droplets, nature-inspired, pearlescent orbs that mimic water droplets on flower petals; and Petite Memories, or lockets, that Victorian tradition of preserving treasured little mementos.

Vintage Allure collection

White and pastel hues —pink, white and bluish gray—take on the minimalist backdrop of sterling silver in the iridescent Shimmering Droplets collection. Multifaceted pearlized stones adorn rings, stud earrings, pendants and charms. The Droplet ring series can be stacked, as can the gold and silver bracelets.

Chandeliers

For the Vintage Allure, the geometric shapes of Art Deco architecture take the form of multifunctional day-to-evening earring styles that transform stud earrings into chandeliers.

Stones are cut in classic cushions and round brilliants and adorn what look like modern heirloom pieces, like filigree cut band rings and tennis bracelets.

The Petite Memories lockets each have a trio of petite elements suspended between two sapphire crystal glass panes, and will appeal to women who like remembrances of cherished moments. The little mementos are inspired by family, love or stars.

Lucerne Philippines, distributor of Pandora, took the tribute to women’s uniqueness further by publishing a book, written by magazine editor Tata Mapa, featuring the lives of 10 women, each with their own remarkable story: artist Valerie Chua, healing arts practitioner and teacher Tin Jacinto, broadcast journalist Mitzi Borromeo, photographer and videographer Carmen Del Prado, psychoneurologist and integrative health practitioner Lia Bernardo, author Samantha Sotto, interior designer Nina M. Santamaria, artist and writer Grace Katigbak, consultant and coach Rachel Consunji, and artist and creative consultant Chi Datu-Bocobo.

The book, “I Am We Are Unique,” will be available for a limited time, with purchase, at Pandora boutiques.
