Not too long ago, mobile phones were simple to use; all you needed to make them work was the charger that came in the box. Now you need battery packs and cord protectors, decorative casings and car chargers just to get through the day.

Fortunately, there are digital lifestyle accessory brands with a range of products designed to upgrade your phones and other electronic devices. One such player is the Dubai-based Promate Technologies that offers products like computer peripherals and car accessories.

“Our job at Promate Technologies is to know what our clients want before they even know it,” said Dimple Condes, Promate Philippines country manager. “We find a niche in the market, identify what the end user needs and fill that gap.”

At the launch held recently, Condes narrated how one customer who was planning an out-of-town beach trip ended up buying several products, including a Bluetooth speaker and a waterproof casing for his phone, the latter “in the event he might drop his phone in the water.”

The brand has over a thousand products with three of them recently bagging industry awards: the linkMate.MUI and auraBox were awarded by the Distree EMEA Diamond Awards while the bikerMate received the nod from iF Design Awards.

“This is what we want to bring to the world. The Philippines is our next stop because the Filipinos’ hyper-connected lifestyle is complemented by many of our products,” Condes said.
