Aside from Christmas, many now look forward to Halloween, especially when it comes to how the unique ghouls and scary displays can impress friends and family. That’s the tricky part.
Here’s one creative project you can whip up in just a few minutes. With this spooky terrarium set-up, you get to use scraps from old Halloween stuff and a few household items you may already have.
This would make a perfect centerpiece for your ghoulish spread.
You will need:
Plastic spider, bat and rat skeleton with black robe (all from Toys R Us)
Below:
Assorted moss and stones (from Landmark)
Below:
Platter
Bottles (from used sauces and dips)
Barbecue sticks (from Landmark supermarket)
Floral foam (from Market! Market!)
Glue gun
Arrange the moss around the platter to get the look of an uneven mound.
Once you are satisfied, glue gun the moss pieces onto the platter.
Cut pieces of floral foam to fit the mouth of your bottles. Foam should be thick enough to hold up a barbecue stick.
Using a glue gun, secure the bats and spiders to the barbecue sticks, mount them on cut floral foam and put the inverted bottle on top. Cover the exposed foam with some moss.
Place your spooky terrariums onto the moss base of the platter.
The skull figure will also be mounted on a stick and foam but with no bottle on top.
Scatter some small plastic insects, etc., on the moss.
Voila! Your unique Halloween centerpiece.
