The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct a one-day seminar on native delicacies and chocolate making and molding at the UPIS Building (Integrated School), University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, on Oct. 29, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Participants will learn how to make several varieties of kakanin through actual demo and hands-on experience. Items include puto flan, inutak, palitaw, puto, espasol, buchi, maja blanca, biko, pichi pichi, halayang ube, bibingkang pinipig, cassava cake, sapin-sapin, kutsinta, puto pao, puto bumbong, minoron, tupig, binagol, baye baye, kalamay, nilupak, suman sa lihiya, suman sa ibos, leche flan.
Also learn how to make decorative chocolates and bars with assorted colors and designs; how to package and present chocolates; and how to use extenders like almonds, raisins and peanuts.
