A 2-year-old kid from Taiwan is making the rounds on social media for her unusual Halloween costume in a kindergarten party.
While other kids channeled adorable characters from cartoons and animated films, Momo Lu dressed up as “No Face” or Kaonashi, the faceless spirit from the 2001 Japanese anime fantasy film “Spirited Away.”
In a video posted by Momo’s mother Elmo Chen on Facebook, the kid herself said she wanted to dress up as “No Face” for the school Halloween party.
Photos circulating on social media showed Momo standing alone a few steps away from other kids, some of whom were seen crying.
In a separate post, her mother said Momo was unrecognized in her costume and made other children, including a good friend, cry.
“The Halloween party that Momo has been waiting for for ages is finally here. She said Zai Zai (her classmate) would be so scared that she’ll cry! No-Face is alone. When Momo walked into the classroom, no one recognized her, and her friends actually started crying,” the mother wrote.
“After school, the best part was when we went to the shop and left with a basket filled with candy and walked around the shops. Her face paint started coming off, but what a happy day. Momo even said she is looking forward to next Halloween. Happy Halloween, everyone,” she added. YG/IDL
