Nike+ Run Club (NRC) coach Ian Banzon gives five reasons why running should be part of your daily exercise.

1. Running improves your blood circulation and cardiovascular health.
Going for a run, no matter how short or long, increases heart rate, which helps improve blood circulation.

2. Running can help you lose excess weight.
Exercises that require you to move with more intensity stimulates the “afterburn,” which helps your body burn fat even at rest.

3. Running builds your stamina.
Running regularly helps your body expand its capacity to perform exercises longer and better.
4. Running improves your mood.
Studies have shown that 30 minutes of walking/running on a treadmill can instantly lift the mood.
5. Running gives you a chance to meet new friends.
You will not only improve your cardiovascular health, but you will also make new buddies.
