The anthology, “Kritikal na Espasyo ng Kulturang Popular,” edited by Rolando B. Tolentino and Gary Devilles and published by the Ateneo de Manila University Press, will be launched Nov. 12, 4:30 p.m., at the Natividad Fajardo Galang Room, Ateneo campus, Quezon City.
The book attempts to bring together critical essays on Filipino popular culture by seasoned critics, from Bienvenido Lumbera, Nicanor Tiongson and Soledad Reyes, to contemporary writers like Tolentino, Jema Pamintuan and Alvin Yapan.
They also assess the various sites of popular cultural performance, from blogs to malls.
