Paradise Dynasty, one of the 11 culinary concepts under the critically acclaimed and highly successful Paradise Group Holdings, opened its first restaurant on September 15, 2010. For six years now, it has been delighting diners with its sumptuous yet reasonably-priced plethora of northern and southern Chinese cuisine. With a total of seven restaurants in Singapore and more than ten others in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Japan and Hong Kong, Paradise Dynasty is living up to the vision of the Paradise Group’s founder and CEO, Eldwin Chua. He wants Paradise Dynasty “to be an international diners’ paradise for Oriental cuisine where gourmet menus meet with exceptional value and tradition meets with innovation.”
And, now, people in the Philippines will also get the chance to enjoy the ultimate sensorial experience that Paradise Dynasty is well-known for as another one of its restaurants is opening on November 09, 2016 at the 2nd level, S Maison at the Conrad, Mall of Asia Complex. With your family and friends, head off to this newest foodies’ haven in town and let your discerning palate embrace the wonders of Paradise!
Xiao long bao
You will never look at this soup-stuffed dim sum the same way again. Pushing the envelope on culinary creativity and innovation in Chinese cuisine, Eldwin and his team of capable chefs came up with these eight first-of-its-kind types of xiao long bao (小笼包). Not your typical run-of-the-mill varieties, these inventive and distinct flavours that come in eight attractive colours are among the wide array of Paradise Dynasty’s menu choices.
Customers can easily enjoy these colourful and succulent pork dumplings –hands down the restaurant’s house specialty– because they conveniently come together in a round bamboo basket. To ensure optimum tasting experience, follow this sequence of consuming these dumplings –starting off from the mildest-flavoured up to the heaviest.
- Original (white). Enjoy these traditional xiao long bao featuring fresh pork filling in a sweet soup broth.
- Ginseng (green). Relish the soothing herbal goodness of this ginseng and pork soup dumpling.
- Foie Gras (brown). A touch of French luxury is married perfectly with this traditional Chinese delicacy.
- Black Truffle (black). Feast on the unmistakable plush aroma and taste of black truffle in this luxurious treat.
- Cheese (yellow). A novel combination that features the silkiness of cheese – a sure hit with all ages.
- Crab Roe (orange). These morsels are infused with pork and delicate crab roe.
- Garlic (grey). A simple twist on the traditional xiao long bao by just adding fragrant garlic.
- Szechuan (red). Spice up your palate with the subtle heat from a touch of chilli oil and peppercorns.
Selection of silky handmade la mian
Another must-try in Paradise Dynasty is the wide selection of fresh la mian (hand-pulled noodles) that are expertly made in full view of diners in the open kitchen. A truly comforting staple in Chinese cuisine, these fine and silky threads are then served with an assortment of rich and delicious soups, sauces and ingredients. Highly recommended are the la mian with sliced pork and la mian with braised pork belly, both in signature pork bone soup, and the piquant la mian with poached marbled beef in Spicy Szechuan soup. Ample attention is lavished on the signature stock which uses ingredients like pork bone, pork ribs and whole chicken, and is simmered over slow fire for 12 hours before being served. Hmmm, heavenly!
Shanghainese dim sum and comfort food
Equally enticing and mouth-watering is the range of affordable Shanghainese dim sum they offer, such as the light and flaky radish pastry and pork dumplings with hot chili vinaigrette. The extensive menu also showcases a selection of appetizers that stretches from chilled assorted eggs loaf in Yang Zhou style to the classic drunken chicken. Perfect for sharing with friends or family is the variety of wok-fried meat, seafood, vegetable and rice dishes. Definite crowd pleasers include the spicy Szechuan crispy chicken and scrambled egg white with fish and conpoy. Do leave room for unique desserts like chilled glutinous rice roll topped with grated nuts, pan-fried pancake with red bean paste and glutinous rice dumpling in fermented rice wine. I assure you, at Paradise Dynasty, you will always walk out with a satisfied grin and a full tummy!
