Sanso, Pilapil lead Bel-Air benefit exhibit/auction

Painter Juvenal Sanso and sculptor Impy Pilapil, with other artists from Bel-Air Village, Makati City, will exhibit their works in its community center Nov. 17-20, 5-9 p.m.

 

Works from the exhibit and other items like jewelry will be auctioned off on the first day, starting at 5:30 p.m.

 

Selected art students from the University of the Philippines have also been invited to join the exhibit and auction.

 

Sanso and Tony Meloto of Gawad Kalinga will open the exhibit, called “Arteng Bel-Air,” organized by the Barangay Bel-Air and the village association, led by the Women of Bel-Air, chaired by Carminda Regala. There will be a reception after with food, drinks and special entertainment.

 

The proceeds will support a feeding program for schoolchildren in Barangay Fatima, New Washington, Aklan, where Bel-Air, with Gawad Kalinga, built houses for 20 families.
