Avida marks ‘Neighbor Day’

Real estate developer Avida Land held the first Avida Neighbor Day on Nov. 5 to give back to its growing community of homeowners. The event highlighted the importance of being a good neighbor to build better, inspired and united communities.

A full-afternoon celebration happened simultaneously in 11 participating Avida developments nationwide, including Ridgeview Estates Nuvali, Avida Parkway Settings Nuvali, Avida Village Cerise Nuvali, Avida Residences Dasmariñas, Avida Settings Cavite, Avida Village Iloilo and Avida Village North Point.

Homeowners from various condominium developments also participated, including those in Avida Towers BGC 9th Ave., Avida Towers San Lorenzo, Avida Towers Alabang and Avida Towers Cebu.

“We believe people need social connections, but what truly gives our lives meaning and happiness is a sense of concern for others,” said Avida customer care and product delivery head Nancy Delegencia. “Avida fills this need through the communities we create. Every one is someone’s neighbor, and so we should always be kind and reach out to others.”

The Grand Neighbor Day began with the unveiling of its art installation, a blank canvas with the event logo, with participants letting their creative juices flow in coloring and doodling, bringing the installation to life in a collaborative effort.

There were food concessionaires and social enterprises supporting various causes.

Avida started its program in a tie-up with the annual Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko campaign. Residents donated pre-loved toys and books to partner orphanages of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. They were also engaged to sign up as Jolly Family Toy Scouts, volunteering their time and energy to clean, prepare and distribute these donations.

This was followed by a  Grand Potluck and games.

Avida prepared a Good Neighbor Pledge for a kinder, more mindful, and more caring community.

The Avida Grand Neighbor Day earned positive feedback from participants who appreciated newfound friendships. “Being a subsidiary of Ayala Land, the Philippines’ leading developer of sustainable estates, it is part of our mission to provide dream communities—

not just a home to live in, but a happy, thriving, inspired community,” Avida marketing head Tess Tatco told homeowners.
