My passion for photography started when I wanted to take cooler photos of my shoes and fits—yup, streetwear sneakerhead here! I work in the fashion industry and being exposed to extremely creative people triggered my creative side too. I started with photos of just my shoes, my dog, some outfits, a bit of food, my dog again and very rarely some from travel and adventure.
But I soon realized that I loved what I was doing—I was addicted.
I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite extensively in the past, whether it was for work or play, but only recently have I been able to see these destinations in a new light. With my camera in hand, I’m re-experiencing places I’ve visited before and I constantly long to discover and explore new locations.
My most recent trip was to one of my favorite cities in the world, New York. I love the city’s diversity. You can see it everywhere—from cityscapes and urban shots, to landscapes and nature, and the most interesting and unique subjects you can find. I’ve seen New York before, but never through the eyes of my camera. I found and wanted to find new vantage points across the city, explore areas that I used to be scared of or was not interested in going to before. I even made new friends by talking about our passion for photography, taking shots of each other, and exchanging tips. None of these would have been possible without my camera.
