Traffic in Cebu can be daunting, more so on a Friday if you are going to Mactan. Nevertheless, that was quite a crowd that attended the launch, on site, of the Resort and Residences of the Sheraton Cebu Mactan.
Cutting the ribbon was Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr., along with Rey and Venus Manigsaca, president and director, respectively, of Apple One Mactan Inc.
Add to them Apple One’s executive vice president Joy Veloso, and Starwood Resorts & Hotel and Marriott International’s Alexandra Yao, Serena Lim, and Cindy Tan Jarabata of Tajara Leisure.
Johnny Litton hosted the event with his usual aplomb and elegant humor. Fire dancers gave a stunningly spectacular performance.
The Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort is set to open in 2019, offering 250 guest rooms and suites. It will have a spacious ballroom, plus function rooms for weddings, meetings and events.
Amenities will include the Shine Spa for Sheraton, three dining outlets, an enhanced lobby lounge, and recreation facilities such as a terraced swimming pool, and the state-of-the art Sheraton Fitness facility.
The Residences at the Sheraton Cebu Mactan is scheduled for completion in 2020. It is a 22-story main tower with 154 units consisting of one- to three-bedroom residences and 36 courtyard residences each with a private pool.
Residents will enjoy an array of facilities and amenities, such as a private lounge and library for residents, lobby area, function rooms. There are large lagoon pools in the courtyard, a state-of-the-art gym, yoga and steam rooms, and a beach club.
Meanwhile, in the heart of Cebu City, Latitude Corporate Center will be launched tomorrow, 6 p.m., at the grand ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel.
Latitude is designed as the tallest, most masterfully crafted office building in Cebu Business Park. It is a joint venture of Cebu Landmasters represented by Joe Soberano, and the Borromeo Brothers Estate represented by Jonelle Borromeo.
