For Cruise 2017, Gucci launches two new handbags that combine a sophisticated and feminine appeal with a strong identity.
Both feature Gucci’s iconic bamboo bag handle, which was first produced in 1947. Creative director Alessandro Michele updated the finish of this distinctive feature to give it a new look.
The Nymphea bag is named after the Egyptian lotus, a flower with a youthful, natural elegance. Made in three styles, its distinguishing features are a bamboo handle and buckle, the Gucci logo and a shoulder strap in the house’s iconic blue-red-blue web stripe. Pearl details add a feminine touch.
Meanwhile, the new Lilith bag boasts overt visual impact with combined details from Gucci’s past and present. Referencing the first woman, a symbol of femininity and freedom, it is designed with the bamboo top handle, snakeskin trim on the flap and snake head push lock closure.
Gucci stores are at Greenbelt 4 and Shangri-La Plaza East Wing.
